Higgins is one of the impressive receiver duo from Iowa State that should hear their names called early in the 2025 draft. As is the case for lots of the skill positions in this class, Higgins is a large receiver, checking in at 6’ 4” and 217 pounds. Higgins is very similar to McMillan both in build and play style, but should come at a discount in your rookie drafts.
Higgins checks in as our number 1 receiver ranked by Pre-Draft Score, but falls down our board a bit due to the expected draft capital weighing down his Prospect Score. He projects as a solid X receiver at the next level with a strong contested catch rating and a very high percentage of snaps split out wide. Despite his very good efficiency metrics, his age adjusted dominator is also relatively low for this class, indicating his limited relative production early in his career.
Film Notes:
Excellent at drawing pass interference penalties
Won’t do much after the catch
Can play above the rim and really attack the ball in the air
